According to reports from the Daily Mail, Aston Villa are plotting a move to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Danny Batth.
Danny Batth has been a crucial player for Wolverhampton Wanderers for a good number of seasons now and he is currently considered as one of the most solid defenders in the English Championship.
Despite his strong reputation though, Batth’s long term future at Wolves has been put into doubt due to the fact that Wolves have gone through a massive spending spree this summer, which includes the signings of Willy Boly and Roderick Miranda.
The arrival of Boly and Miranda has put Batth’s place in the first team under risk and according to reports from the Daily Mail, a number of clubs are currently considering a move for the 26-year-old.
Aston Villa have been mentioned as one of the clubs interested in signing Batth and he would be a very good acquisition for the Villans.
While manager Steve Bruce has brought in John Terry and Chris Samba this summer, Nathan Baker has departed while Tommy Elphick is also expected to leave and as a result, Batth would be a very good acquisition.
