Aston Villa midfielder could well be leaving Villa Park soon as he has a choice of offers according to Spanish media outlet La Voz De Galicia.
The tricky Spaniard spent last season out on loan in his home country at Deportivo La Coruna. He has clearly made a good impression there as they are open to taking him back on a permanent basis this summer.
Gil started 16 times for the Spanish outfit and created four goals for his teammates as well as bagging his only goal in the last game of the season in a 3-0 win over Las Palmas.
The midfielder has offered the Villa fans some memorable moments since Paul Lambert signed him in 2015 for a small fee of £3.2m. His goals against Leicester, Sunderland and Bournemouth were ones to remember.
The 24 year-old struggled to make a big enough impact on games and went missing in matches on regular occasions. He undoubtedly has very good technical ability however he was a bit too lightweight in the Premier League and with the Chamionship being a bit of a tougher league there is doubts he would be able to cope.
Gil is more than likely to leave within the next few months as there are a number of La Liga clubs who would like to gain his signature and sign him, especially as Steve Bruce needs to free up space in the squad to bring players in.
