According to reports from the Northern Echo, Aston Villa have set an asking price of around £8million for Ross McCormack.
It goes without saying that the £12million signing of Ross McCormack has proven to be an unmitigated disaster for Aston Villa and the Midlands club are now very keen on offloading the 30-year-old this summer.
Sunderland have consistently been linked with a move for McCormack in recent times but are said to be only willing to sign the Scottish international on a loan basis.
However, Villa are not interested in allowing McCormack to leave on another loan spell and are intent on offloading the controversial striker permanently.
Now in revelations from the Northern Echo, claims have been made that Villa will only sell McCormack for a fee of around £8million as they look to recoup as much money as possible from the flop’s sale.
McCormack is a top striker on his day but considering his struggles last season as well as his advancing years, Villa could well struggle to sell him for anything close to their asking price of around £8million.
