According to reports from the Birmingham Mail, Alan Hutton is not planning to leave Aston Villa despite interest from the likes of Sunderland and Sheffield Wednesday.
Alan Hutton has enjoyed a renaissance at Aston Villa over the past few years and the 32-year-old was a crucial figure in the Villans side during the Championship campaign last term.
With only one year remaining on his current deal at Villa though, there have been widespread reports that Hutton could well potentially be leaving Villa Park this summer and the likes of Sunderland and Sheffield Wednesday are rumored to be interested in the experienced full-back.
However, Villa have not yet received any approaches from the interested parties and until any offer arrives, Hutton is said to be more than happy to stay put with the Midlands based outfit this summer.
Hutton is expected to start ahead of the likes of James Bree and Ritchie De Laet for Villa’s Championship opener against Hull City on August 5 and the defender is open to remain with the club as long as he is first choice.
