According to reports from the Daily Mail, Aston Villa target James McArthur is also wanted by Premier League outfit Brighton & Hove Albion.
Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce has been strengthening his squad by signing players with a lot of Premier League experience and the arrivals of John Terry, Ahmed Elmohamady and Glenn Whelan serves as testament to this fact.
Bruce is said to be hopeful of bringing in at least a couple more players to Villa Park during the upcoming weeks and unsurprisingly, another experienced Premier League campaigner in James McArthur has been linked with a move to Villa Park recently.
McArthur is not believed to be in the plans of Crystal Palace manager Frank De Boer and the 29-year-old could be made available for a fee as low as £2million this summer, which is certainly within the means of Villa.
As a huge blow for the Championship side though, even newly promoted Premier League outfit Brighton & Hove Albion are said to have now registered an interest in McArthur and there is a strong possibility that the Villans might miss out on the Scotsman if the Seagulls persist with their interest.
