According to reports from France Football (via Sport Witness), Monaco have registered an interest in signing Aston Villa left-back Jordan Amavi.
Jordan Amavi was widely expected to be joining Sevilla this summer as the Spanish side had agreed a deal of around £9million for the full-back.
However, the move collapsed at the last minute under mysterious circumstances as Sevilla claimed that Amavi had failed a medical with the club and as a result, the 23-year-old remains at Villa.
Surprisingly, Sevilla have recently made a loan approach for Amavi but neither the player nor the club now seems to be interested in a deal with the La Liga outfit.
Despite the move to Sevilla breaking down, Amavi is still expected to be leaving Villa Park this summer and now according to reports from France Football, it has been claimed that the ex-Nice star is wanted by Ligue 1 champions Monaco.
Monaco could lose their left-back Benjamin Mendy to Manchester City this summer and it is believed that manager Leonardo Jardim has now identified Amavi as the ideal replacement.
