Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas has revealed how he disliked ex-teammate John Terry.
John Terry is arguably one of the greatest ever defenders to have graced the English Premier League and even he is now 35, Aston Villa have managed to sign a top quality player who will surely help the club in their aspirations of earning promotion into the top flight next season.
Cesc Fabregas worked closely with Terry during their time together at Chelsea and the Spaniard has gone on to reveal why he hated the defender during his time as a player for Arsenal.
Fabregas stated that he had many confrontations with Terry on the pitch but insists that despite the many battles, he always respected his former captain.
“He is the type of player that I had many battles with,” Fabregas told Sky Sports News. “I disliked him very much at some point playing for Arsenal, we had a lot of confrontations, but one thing I always had for him was respect.
“I think it was maybe the most difficult season for him [last season], for a lot of reasons. He showed to be before a great man and then a great player. He showed he will always be a great captain for this team and I have to tell him a big, big, big thanks.”
