According to reports from the Birmingham Mail, rivals Aston Villa and Birmingham City are currently involved in a battle to secure the services of Gabriel Kunda Jr.
Aston Villa were widely expected to be very active in the transfer window this summer but so far, they have brought in only two players to the Midlands – albeit the two players are the high profile duo of John Terry and Sam Johnstone.
It is believed that manager Steve Bruce will now be looking to strengthen his squad with a few more signings in the upcoming days and in surprise reports from the Birmingham Mail, Villa are currently considering a swoop for Gabriel Kunda Jr.
Kunda has previously played for the likes of Atletico Madrid and Villarreal but failed to make the grade at both the clubs and is currently unattached.
Nonetheless, the 24-year-old seems to be attracting the interest from a host of English clubs and Villa are believed to be competing with Birmingham City for the signature of the Zambian midfielder.
