The Express and Star have reported that Villa are interested in Besiktas midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup after sending scouts to watch the player.
The Turkish midfielder has said that he has fulfilled his ambition in the Super Lig after winning a second title in a row this season.
Villa are one of several clubs who are interested in Ozyakup after scouting the player earlier this year. The 24-year-old has now said that he is going to weigh up his options while on holiday before picking a new club to sign for.
The midfielder said: “You know that I have a target to play in Europe one day,” he said. “I’m very happy that I’ve achieved what I wanted at Besiktas.
“Back-to-back championships is good. Now I’ll go to holiday and think about my future. Anything can happen but I’ll decide on the holiday.”
Ozyakup made 28 appearances this season for the Super Lig this season netting five times and setting up six goals for his teammates.
The Turkish international is a player who likes to have the ball at his feet with good dribbling skills and strong passing ability.
He signed for Besiktas in 2012 after being released by Arsenal and has been a regular name in the side in those five years, racking up 180 appearances.
