Media Outlet HITC have reported that Southampton have slapped a £7m price tag on Aston Villa target Sam Gallagher. Sunderland, Wolves and Cardiff have also expressed in the Saints forward.
Gallagher spent last season out on loan to relegated Blackburn but still manage to catch other teams eyes with his performances.
The 21 year-old managed to bag 11 goals whilst also setting up three for his teammates. The England U20’s international is a promising prospect and could prove to be a good buy at £7m.
With Jonathan Kodjia out for the the start of the season Steve Bruce may look to bring in another striker to support Hogan and Gallagher will offer a more direct approach due to him being more of a target man in the way he plays.
Whether the Villa manager will be put off by the price tag remains to be seen but it could be a shrewd buy if it happens.
