There was a debate over on our Facebook page after Tom Ince has been told by Derby that he can leave this summer along with former Villa player Darren Bent. It is thought they are looking to sell to create funds for Gary Rowett.
There was a lot of people saying they would love him down the Villa whereas some say he’s to lazy and doesn’t turne up to enough games.
The Mirror report that £10m would be enough to sign the former Liverpool youngster. Ince was The Rams’ top goalscorer in the last season racking up a total of 15 goals which is an impressive tally for a winger as well as setting up eight goals for his team mates.
Villa desperately need goals coming from all over the pitch after only scoring 47 goals last season with Jonathan Kodjia getting 19 of those. Villa’s second highest goalscorer Grealish only managed to get five goals while third highest scorer Rudy Gestede, who notched four goals, was shipped out in January.
Steve Bruce brought in Henri Lansbury and Conor Hourihane to get more goals from midfield with them both scoring six goals each for their former clubs but they have only managed to score one goal between then since coming to B6.
Having played in the Championship for the past few years he might be someone that would give us a boost in pushing for promotion. The 25 year-old signed for Derby for £5.7m in 2015 after spending half a season on loan at Pride Park.
Newcastle United were interested in signing the winger back in January so whether they go back in for him remains to be seen.
The son of Paul Ince would certainly offer something more to the team with his pace and direct dribbling he would surely go down well with the fans. Whether he’s worth £10m, I don’t know but he would definitely add some much needed quality down the wings.
