In a breaking development, Remi Garde has vacated his role as manager of Aston Villa by ‘mutual consent’ according to Sky Sports News and the club’s official website.
This tweet, posted less than 10 minutes ago confirms the departure of Villa’s French boss after winning just two league games whilst in charge of the club.

With the Midlands club almost certain to drop into the second tier of English football next season, the search now begins for Garde’s successor, a man of who Villa’s new look board will hope can bring them straight back up at the first attempt.
