Premier League outfit Aston Villa are looking to replace Christian Benteke with Lorient striker Jordan Ayew.
Aston Villa suffered a huge blow recently after star striker Christian Benteke left for Liverpool in a £32.5 million deal earlier on in the month.
While Villa did receive a lot of money for Benteke, replacing the Belgian international will most certainly prove to be a herculean task for Villa and manager Tim Sherwood is wasting no time whatsoever in his search for a capable new striker.
It can now be revealed that Villa are currently targeting a move for Lorient attacker Jordan Ayew. Having joined Lorient last season, Ayew managed to impress by scoring 12 goals in Ligue 1 and as a result, the young Ghanian has attracted the interest of a number of Premier League sides.
Villa are said to be very keen on landing the 23-year-old and it has been claimed that the Premier League outfit will look to splash as much as £8 million to get the deal done before the start of the upcoming domestic campaign.
